On May 6, González posted a mirror photo highlighting her back and biceps and captioned it "IRON JANE," saying she is proud to tell Jane’s story. Brandon Sklenar is set to play her coach, and writer-director Lissette Feliciano is at the helm, praising González’s physical and emotional commitment to the role.

A personal context

Earlier this year, during Eating Disorder Awareness Week (Feb. 23–Mar. 1), González reflected on lifelong body-image struggles, sharing that after her father’s sudden death when she was 12 she coped with depression by eating compulsively and gained weight quickly. She recalled early scrutiny from her time on Nickelodeon Latin America’s Sueña conmigo and said she now chooses to honor her body with kindness while continuing the hard work of change.
