Once a London nightclub owner, Pelly was close to Harry during his gap year and helped plan William’s bachelor party. He is a godfather to Prince Louis; both William and Harry attended Pelly’s 2014 wedding in Memphis. PEOPLE reported William was the "life of the party" while Harry "hung in a corner, enjoying the music." Pelly and his wife attended Harry and Meghan’s 2018 wedding and reportedly visited the couple at Tyler Perry’s home in 2020. PEOPLE also noted Harry, who is based in the U.S., was not expected to meet the King during the tightly scheduled state visit.
